Here at DDI\u00a0we are proud to be involved with a fabulous local organization, the Children\u2019s Cancer\u00a0Association. <!--more-->We sponsor a CCA served family\u00a0through the Hope for the Holidays program\u00a0each December, as well as a table at their annual Wonderball Gala. CCA has a number of\u00a0opportunities for corporate engagement, and a few examples are included below.<\/p>\n<h2>Event volunteer opportunities<\/h2>\n<p>CCA\u2019s programs are fueled by fundraising events and throughout the year, we have\u00a0numerous opportunities that can accommodate corporate groups of various sizes.\u00a0Tournaments, festivals, and galas are just a few examples of the fun events that rely on your\u00a0volunteer support.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment \u2013 approximate 3-4 hours, depending on event<\/li>\n<li>Group size \u2013 5 \u2013 15<\/li>\n<li>Tasks \u2013 Coat check, selling raffle tickets, registration, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Employee giving<\/h2>\n<div>Inspire your office to fundraise with a friendly department competition, breaking dress code,\u00a0winning a prize, and more. Get creative!<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Jeans Days \u2013 Offer your employees an opportunity to break dress code, and wear\u00a0jeans with a nominal donation to CCA.<\/li>\n<li>Raffles \u2013 Run an internal office raffle, with funds raised donated to CCA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Hope for the Holidays<\/h2>\n<p>CCA\u2019s Hope for the Holidays delivers compassion and joy to local families who have a\u00a0seriously ill child and are experiencing severe financial difficulty. Your group will be matched\u00a0with a family and given a wish list of requested essential needs, as well as a few fun gifts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment \u2013 Varied hours in December; financial investment up to $200 per family\u00a0member<\/li>\n<li>Group size \u2013 any<\/li>\n<li>Tasks \u2013 Gift shopping, purchasing, wrapping and delivery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Corporate sponsorship<\/h2>\n<p>Sponsoring a Children\u2019s Cancer Association (CCA) event or program provides an opportunity\u00a0to build positive brand awareness in the greater Portland and Southwest Washington area;\u00a0receive unique marketing benefit; create staff engagement opportunities; and support CCA\u2019s\u00a0mission: To create transformative moments of joy for seriously ill kids, teens, and their\u00a0families.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsorship and fundraising opportunities start at $1k and go up, and can be customized to\u00a0meet the needs of your organization!<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about how your company can get involved, contact Kelly DeGraaf at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:KDeGraaf@joyrx.org\">KDeGraaf@joyrx.org<\/a>\u00a0or 503.200.5105.<\/p>\n<h2>About CCA:<\/h2>\n<p>The Children\u2019s Cancer Association knows that for seriously ill children and their families,\u00a0every moment is precious.
